It’s COMING!!

It’s less than 2 weeks until the 2010 British Drift Championship (BDC) kicks off and I for one cant wait. The winter has been long, cold, miserable and boring so im looking forward to shreading some tyres and having good times with my NightWalker team mates and BDC friend old and new. Some fresh new tracks to be driven is great news and im happy to say that my car has been ready 2 weeks for an event. That a definste improvement on past years.

Check out the flyer below and come and cheer for me at an event :D

BDC 2010 dates and venues

For more information have a look at The British Drift Championship website for updates and general information.

Weston Super Mare Shakedown

Having recently had some work carried out on my car I was itching to try out my new steering modifications so I got myself booked into a fairly local event to give the car a pre-season shakedown. The venue was a dis-used airfield located at a helipcopter museum in Weston Super Mare.

The weather wasnt the best by any means as I woke up to terrential rain but I wasnt going to let that stop me as I had been looking forward to driving the car all week. First things first I went to pick up my pit crew and little homie Aaron ( aka Lil Mucca). Then I met up with Woody, Goose, Sonice, Rhys, Jamo and a few other to make the trip from Wales to Weston.

The rain began to settle for a while when we got there so after a small delay with the organisers sorting the drivers briefing we got out. The track wasnt ideal and the conditions made for interesting driving but I was happy to be out there driving and testing my new steering lock and having fun as seen below.

Pre Season work

With the upcoming BDC season slowly looming, it had dawned on me that I hadn’t actually driven my car since September 2009 as the season had finished and my car needed some work doing to it after a years drifing in the BDC.

So suffering from withdrawal symptoms, I decieded to shape up and get the car ready for testing as I had recently aquired some new steering lock mods in the form of modified hub knuckles courtesy of Paul Cheshire (aka Polo, Team Green) and Martin Moore who sorted me with a modified crossmember. Big Thanks to both.

Low Brain Drifters TV – JDM Allstars

For those who have never attended a drift event before  here is a quick promo video that has been cut together by Dan ‘Buck’ Joyce of  Dirty Sanchez fame showing some behind the scenes footage of a JDM Allstars event at Wembley. I think its a great video that catches the fun aspect of drifting perfectly.

Anyway, less babble heres the vid:

Hey Happy New Year !!

What better way to start 2010 than to show you some fresh Aussie drift vids that I have come across of some grassroots drifting in Australia and a sweet touge vid with some of the infamous Team BURST from Japan hitting some downhill in Osaka.

Who is Ken Block?

Ken Block is someone I had rarely heard of until now, but has since become this years internet success with his Gymkhana videos getting tons of views across various sites.

Below are some examples of his video’s and I have to say he can certainly pedal his cars well around his makeshift courses during his Gymkhana practice:
